Welcome to the Mend Your Bladder website, here to help people with incontinence.
You will find a detailed explanation of incontinence and the options open to you. We provide a hypnosis solution for elements of incontinence and related issues.
Incontinence - you are not alone
If you are experiencing incontinence conditions, you are not alone – It is estimated that 27% of women have some symptoms after childbirth, with 2.6% having lifestyle limiting, bothersome symptoms (this figure relates to around 50 sufferers for every GP in the UK) (ref: Leicestershire MRC incontinence study); in addition up 17% of the population have symptoms relating to an “overactive bladder” with urgency being the debilitating symptom (ref: International consultation on incontinence 2008).
There is no shame to it and you should not suffer in silence, you can and should seek help as containment (wearing pads etc) and limiting your lifestyle need not be your normality Treatment to reduce or cure symptoms is often possible.
The purpose of this site
With this website we are looking to explain incontinence and give some options to provide you with an understanding that will allow you to discuss the problem with your GP. Where you are able to identify relevance we are also providing generic hypnosis track solutions which whilst not the same as seeking treatment from an incontinence trained hypnotherapist, it can provide you with an expert resource that could inexpensively facilitate you with immediate emotional and psychological help that has proved useful to many others.
The Team
The Mend Your Bladder team consists of Robin Toozs-Hobson GHSC-GHR, LNCP and Dr Derek Goddard PhD, MBA, BA(Hons), MCIM, CITP, MBCS, MCMI,.
This website is about the aiding of specific aspects of incontinence (Urgency and Pain) through use of hypnotic tracks which have been refined and recorded as a result of ongoing successful treatments given to patients.
